We love growing ginger! Even though we are living in a non-tropical Atlantic Canadian province we have always found ways to grow ginger for ourselves and others. We order organic seed ginger in late winter and start plants in February in a small, warm seedling room. Once temperatures are high enough, we plant it out in the growing beds. This year (2025) we have converted part of our old hog barn into a greenhouse so that we can expand production, lengthen the growing season, and increase the quality of our ginger. This is very exciting for us. Check out our 2024 Ginger CSA to see what we offered in 2024. 2025 CSA will be coming shortly!
